Cloud HR systems sized for companies of roughly 50 to 2,000 employees — BambooHR, HiBob and Personio being the three most common in Europe. They cover core HR (people, contracts, leave, performance, documents) but stop short of country-specific payroll.
Why it matters for HRIS ↔ payroll sync
Mid-market HRIS vendors deliberately avoid local payroll because the legal surface is too country-specific to maintain. That leaves their customers either using a separate payroll system in every country or chaining the HRIS to an EOR.
